Internship @ National Aerospace Laboratories

CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories was set up in 1959 and is part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. It describes itself as the only government aerospace research and development laboratory in India's civilian sector, and it supports the country's aerospace programmes.

I was a Research Intern in the Advanced Composites Division for May and June 2024. My area was composite materials for cryogenic hydrogen fuel tanks. A tank wall shrinks as it cools, and a filler that expands on cooling (negative thermal expansion) can offset part of that.
